The 'Mudbath to Footpath' project is completed!

Help us celebrate on Saturday November 1st at 11am

Chalgrove Wildlife & Conservation Society (CWaCS) are delighted to announce that they have completed the project to resurface the footpath leading from Mill Lane to the open fields behind Langley Road and the recreation ground, which forms part of a popular circular walk.

The footpath has previously been impassable during the winter due to thick mud and often in the summer due to nettle growth. The completion of this project will now give the village year round use of the footpath whilst retaining a countryside aesthetic.

The resurfaced path is made from self binding gravel, which is a naturally occurring material favoured in country settings from heritage sites to woodland walks.

CWaCS would like to extend their thanks for the support given to this project to:

  • Trust for Oxfordshire's Environment (TOE2)
  • Grundon Waste Management
  • Oxfordshire County Council
  • Chalgrove 200 Club
  • Chalgrove residents who made a donation

Please join us to celebrate this achievement by coming along to the official opening on Saturday November 1st at 11am at the start of the footpath in Mill Lane, next to the Mill.

For more information on TOE2 please visit www.trustforoxfordshire.org.uk or call 01865 883488.
