Chalgrove is fortunate to have a very large recration ground, situated behind the War Memorial Green and Chalgrove Primary School. The facilities include:

The Recreation Ground is also used extensively by dog walkers, joggers, fitness groups, and is home to the annual Chalgrove Festival and 10k race. Across the bridge over the Chalgrove Brook is a second recreation ground and Janes Meadow, both of which hold full size football pitches, and part of the hedgerow on the west side of Janes Meadow holds the Fruitful Hedge, whcih in good years is a source of apples, pears, plums, and many other fruit and nut trees - all free for foraging!
